We want to take the knowledge and experience we’ve gained, our love of marksmanship and shooting sports and pass that on to you so that you can defend yourself and your family, compete, hunt and enjoy an American pastime.

Our mission is to provide American Citizens with the best possible training to confidently, safey operate firearms in whatever situation they find themselves in. Once a fight starts, or the timer beeps, we want you to win. Mastering the fundamentals and applying them at speed is the goal!

*Unless otherwise noted, all classes are a Great Guns Sporting in Nunn, Co. Long range classes are the exception, location will be given out with course confirmation*
All students in our “Defensive/Tactical” group classes must be able to conduct moderate physical exercise throughout the day. (Running, Jogging, Going from standing to prone and back, Kneeling, Carry up to 35lbs for short distances, hold a rifle or pistol up and safely for extended periods) Consult your physician if you have any concerns. If you have a disability, or medical condition but still would like to train please do not hesitate to contact us, and we can accommodate you to the best of our ability. We understand there are a great variety of people of all ages that wish to train and our private lessons are open to all valid US Persons. Private lessons are tailored to you specifically so the physical requirements are specific to you. As long as training can be accomplished safely we will acommodate. Inro/Basic courses are less physically demanding and focus primarily on knowledge. Sierra offers no refunds for students who are unable to complete the course once begun. Students must be 21 years old for pistol and 18 for long guns, and valid U.S. Person, and legally be allowed to posses a firearm. All required gear is MANDATORY unless otherwise noted. Failure to bring your equipment may result in decreased training performance and wasted time, or even inhibit training. Students who cannot complete training due to equipment, or due to safety or disrespectful behaviors will be removed from class and will receive no refunds.

Private Training
Customized training, based on your background with firearms, experience level, and specific goals. With hands on, one on one, focused training by experts that will focus On your goals and needs, the ability for video comparison throughout your progression, and more: experience the best way to train.
Equipment will vary based on specific goals, however the packing lists for the Pistol, Carbine, and Precision Rifle Courses are good guidelines. Sierra will contact you after receiving your reservation to discuss your goals etc.
Pistol Courses
Whether your a first time pistol owner, or a seasoned Law Enforcement Professional, Sierra Marksmanship and Defense are here to give you the skills you need to win that next match, or to ensure You come home at the end of your shift. Have the confidence to take on any challenge, with speed, accuracy, and control.
Carbine Courses
No matter if you’re looking for training for Hunting, Competition, Home Defense, or Increase your survivability in a high risk career, we can give you the firearms and defensive skills to beat the timer in your next competition, or make the difference in a fight for your life.
Precision Rifle/Long Range Marksmanship
Sierra Marksmanship can help you prepare for the next hunting season, PRC event, Critical Engagement, or to just venture into the realm of Long Range Marksmanship. Sierra‘s Instructor is veteran Special Operations sniper, and graduate of both the U.S. Army Sniper Course and Special Forces Sniper Course (SOTIC/SFSC Lvl 1). Learn the fundamentals of Long Distance Marksmanship; Rifle/Caliber and Optics Considerations, Rifle set up, Zero and Cold Bore/Supressor Shift, Data Over Previous Engagements (DOPE), Range Estimation, Using Milradian and MOA measurements and Reticles (Tremor series, H32,59, NF M.O.A.R., etc) or Bullet Drop Compensation (BDC), Wind Reading, Shooter/Spotter Team, Bipod/Tripod and Alternate Position/Offhand, Make 1,760yds Your Next Shot.
